What we do
- Termite inspection to find active termites and map all the damage
- Termite treatment before any repair — liquid soil treatment or bait systems
- Sill plate repair and replacement
- Beam, girder and floor joist repair, sistering and replacement
- Rim joist, subfloor and framing repair
- Moisture fixes that keep termites from coming back
- Documentation for real estate transactions and VA / FHA lenders
Treat first, then repair
Replacing damaged wood while termites are still active just feeds the colony new wood. Every repair starts with an inspection and, when needed, a termite treatment. Once the colony is under control, we remove and replace the damaged wood and leave the area protected.
Signs you may have termite damage
- Mud tubes on the foundation, sill plate or basement walls
- Wood that sounds hollow, crumbles or has layers eaten out along the grain
- Sagging floors, soft spots or doors and windows that suddenly stick
- Piles of small wings near windows or in the basement after a swarm (flying ants vs. termite swarmers)
- Bubbling paint or damage that looks like water damage — here’s how to tell the difference
Sill plate repair and replacement
The sill plate is the wood that sits on top of your foundation, and it’s the first place subterranean termites usually hit. We support the structure, remove the damaged sections, install new pressure-treated sill plate and re-secure the framing to the foundation.
Beam and floor joist repair
Damaged beams, girders and joists can make floors sag or bounce. Depending on how much wood is left, we sister new lumber to the damaged members or replace them completely. Where damage is extensive, a structural engineer may need to review the repair, and we work with them.
How the process works
- Inspection: we find active termites, mark every damaged area and check for moisture problems.
- Treatment: we eliminate the termites with the right method for your home (Sentricon vs. liquid treatment, bait stations vs. liquid).
- Repair: damaged wood is removed and replaced or reinforced.
- Prevention: we correct wood-to-soil contact and moisture issues and recommend ongoing protection.
Termite damage and selling or buying a home
If a VA termite inspection or other WDI report finds damage, the lender may require it repaired before closing. We provide the treatment, the repair and the paperwork the lender needs, so one company handles the whole condition.

Termite damage repair FAQ
Can termite damage be repaired?
Yes. Most termite damage can be repaired by replacing or reinforcing the damaged wood. The key is treating the termites first so the new wood isn’t attacked.
Does homeowners insurance cover termite damage?
Usually not — most policies treat termite damage as preventable maintenance. That’s why catching it early with an inspection matters.
How do I know if the damage is old or active?
Live termites, fresh mud tubes or soft new damage mean activity. Old, dry damage with broken, empty tubes may be from a past infestation. An inspection tells you for sure.
Do you also do the termite treatment?
Yes. We’re a licensed New Jersey pest control company, so inspection, treatment and repair are handled by one team.
